“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
– 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
I love this verse. (Although I am not a Christian, studying in Christian schools for 6 years exposed me to the Bible and the beliefs of Christianity. As a free-thinker, I do welcome some of the teachings in the devotion sessions I’ve heard in the past 6 years.) It shows that being young does not necessary mean losing out to those who are experienced. By believing fervently in your beliefs and standing firm for your choices, youth can always outshine the experienced ones.
As the Chinese saying goes,
(The figurative meaning is that the young will surpass the old as the old become worthless. It is not the exact meaning and it is actually a Chinese pun. So it is hard to actually elaborate on the actual meaning. It is a rough meaning, based on my understanding. Please approach an expert if you want the defined meaning, and DO NOT CONSULT GOOGLE TRANSLATE. They translate it into horrible broken English.)
